摘要: Summary Skeletal muscle development is a complex process involving the coordinated expression of thousands genes. The aim this study was to identify differentially expressed genes in longissimus dorsi (LD) pigs at 40 and 70 days (d) gestation (developmental stages encompassing primary secondary fibre formation) Yorkshire–Landrace (YL) cross-bred Piau (a naturalized Brazilian breed), which are two breed types that differ muscularity. Foetuses were obtained from gilts each gestational age (n = 3 YL; n = 4 Piau), transcriptional profiling performed using Pigoligoarray microarray containing 20 400 oligonucleotides. A total 486 oligonucleotides (fold change (FC) ≥ 1.5; false discovery rate (FDR) ≤ 0.05) between 70 d either YL or pigs, 1300 (FC ≥ 1.5; FDR ≤ 0.05) age. Gene ontology annotation pathway analyses determined functional classifications for revealed type–specific developmental patterns. Thirteen selected confirmation by qRT-PCR analyses, patterns most these confirmed, providing further insight into roles pig development. This both gene foetal skeletal muscle, including not previously associated with myogenesis. information will contribute future genetic improvement efforts.
