摘要: It has been found that leukemia cells can be induced by various agents [e.g., retinoic acid (RA)] to mature a nonproliferative end stage. also normal granulocytes produce chalone-like "hemoregulatory peptide (HP)" which seems involved in the inhibitory proliferation control of myelopoietic cells. In view intended use maturation induction treatment as an alternative current antileukemic therapy it appeared interest know if granulocytes, obtained RA promyelocytic cell line HL-60, would HP or their transformed phenotype cause production deviant regulatory peptide(s). was conditioned media from RA-treated HL-60 inhibited myeloid but strongly stimulated growth erythroid and lymphoid A low molecular weight thiol-containing isolated colony formation granulocyte-macrophage committed stem unlike had no effect on (untreated) themselves. shown is chemically different terms size, electrophoretic mobility, composition, NH2-terminal sequence, determined glutamine-aspartic acid-proline. concluded differentiated hemoregulatory factor(s) with properties those HP. The implication possible abnormal behavior leukemic populations discussed respect differentiation induction.
