摘要: Abstract Epsilon-negative behavior in metamaterials has attracted increasing attention recently. In this work, excessively percolating BaTiO3/Ag composites were synthesized by an in-situ preparation method to achieve negative permittivity. The epsilon-negative is explained low-frequency plasma oscillation of free electrons, which can be well fitted the Drude model. Moreover, permittivity tuned adjusting content randomly distributed Ag particles. ac conductivity shows a typical metal-like behavior. Furthermore, investigation reactance reveals that inductive character derived from conductive network main contributor permittivity, as confirmed equivalent circuit analysis. This work provides theoretical recipe for designing supplements family metamaterials, and would further facilitate practical applications materials electromagnetic devices.
