摘要: OBJECTIVE: Although major depression is thought to have substantial negative effects on work performance, the possibility of recall bias limits self-report studies these effects. The authors used experience sampling method address this problem by collecting comparative data moment-in-time performance among service workers who were depressed and those not depressed. METHOD: group studied included 105 airline reservation agents 181 telephone customer representatives selected from a larger baseline sample; deliberately oversampled. Respondents given pagers diaries for each day study. A computerized autodialer paged respondents at random time points. When paged, reported their in diary.
