Immune restoration disease after the treatment of immunodeficient HIV‐infected patients with highly active antiretroviral therapy

摘要: Background: To determine if infectious disease events in HIV-infected patients treated with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) are a consequence of the restoration pathogen-specific immune responses, single-centre retrospective study all commencing HAART prior to 1 July 1997 was undertaken incidence, characteristics and time onset episodes responders (decrease plasma HIV RNA > 1 log10 copies/mL). Methods: Baseline post-therapy changes CD4 T-cell counts were compared without delayed-type hypersensitivity responses mycobacterial antigens measured selected patients. Results: Thirty-three 132 (25%) exhibited one or more after HAART, related pre-existent subclinical infection by an opportunistic pathogen. Disease most often infections mycobacteria herpesviruses but hepatitis C virus (HCV), molluscum contagiosum human papilloma also implicated. They common baseline count < 50/uL occurred during first 2 months when increasing. Mycobacteria- HCV-related diseases associated responses. Conclusions: We conclude that improved function immunodeficient may restore cause inflammation tissues infected those pathogens.
