摘要: BACKGROUND Essential elements such as iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), selenium (Se), rubidium (Rb), strontium (Sr), and molybdenum (Mo) are necessary for reproductive health. However, their associations with human semen quality remain inconclusive. OBJECTIVES To investigate the of urinary Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Se, Rb, Sr, Mo concentrations in healthy men screened potential sperm donors identify critical windows susceptibility. METHODS 1428 provided 3766 urine 6527 samples, which were measured essential element parameters, respectively. Linear mixed models cubic spline curves used to evaluate between quality. Multiple informant RESULTS showed positive dose-response relationships Zn concentration total count [all False Discovery Rate (FDR) adjusted p-value trend < 0.05]. In multiple-element linear models, highest versus lowest quartiles had a higher 17.5% (95% CI: 2.8%, 34.2%; trend = 0.006) 18.3% 1.4%, 38.0%; trend = 0.027), Urinary was also positively associated dose-dependent manner (p-value trend = 0.036), though percentile difference quartile not statistically significant (16.4%, 95% -1.7%, 37.9%). These appeared be stronger when at 0-9 days before date examination (i.e., corresponding epididymal storage). CONCLUSIONS Higher Mo, particularly during period storage, greater production.
