摘要: Thirty-five dogs with appendicular osteosarcoma were treated 5 doses of doxorubicin (30 mg/m2 body surface, i.v., every 2 weeks). Surgical excision the primary tumor was performed 13 days after second (n = 18) or third 17) treatment, and subsequent treatment given day following surgery. Resected tumors evaluated histologically to determine response preoperative chemotherapy (ie, percentage that necrotic). Survival data for 35 compared survival a historical control group, consisting 162 by amputation alone. Administration at week intervals well tolerated. Three alive did not have evidence disease time reporting. Of remaining 32 dogs, 3 died euthanatized because cardiomyopathy presumably caused doxorubicin; 1 suddenly 116 weeks initiation treatment; 28 problems documented be related distant metastases. Thirteen (40.6%) pulmonary metastases, 10 (31.3%) bone (15.6%) metastases in other sites. The proportion significantly (P < 0.001) higher study group than group. Median received estimated 52.3 weeks, 1- 2-year rates 50.5 9.7%, respectively. 0.0001) longer these dogs.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
