No consensus emerges from scant published data on postoperative care after CCCS surgery. The objective this study was to assess role temporary external fixation stabilising commissure facilitating surgical wound care. Hypothesis Using release facilitates decreases complication rate. Material methods Eighteen patients requiring primary due adhesions creep were included single-centre retrospective study. After release, an fixator made Kirschner pins installed temporarily immobilise inter-phalangeal joints. dressing changed every 3 days weeks, then removed. parents nurses completed questionnaires that used 0–10 point scales ease duration changes perceptions apprehensions experienced by nurses, well pain patients, during changes. Results patient maceration failure flap. Pin site discharge noted 1 resolved fully pin removal. Pain intensity estimated at 4.2/10 first change 1.3/10 last change. In parents, apprehension 9.6/10 5.1/10 changes, stress 8.1/10 4.1/10, respectively. Dressing difficulty rated 1.1/10 0.9/10 decreased 13 10 minutes. Conclusion These encouraging results support stabilisation decrease rates facilitate release. Level evidence IV, observational
