摘要: This paper describes a class of linear thinned arrays with predictable and well-behaved sidelobes. The element placement is based on almost difference sets the array power pattern forced to pass through N uniformly-spaced values that, although neither equal nor constant as for sets, are a-priori known from knowledge aperture size, number active elements K, features correlation function. Such property allows one predict bounds confidence range peak sidelobe admissible obtainable simple shift operations binary sequence. expected performances turn out be comparable those even though in wider set configurations, improved comparison cut-and-try random-placements.
