摘要: Membrane fusions of vesicles biomembranes play various important roles in cells, but their mechanisms are unclear and controversial. In the present study, we found that 30 microM to 1 mM La3+ induced membrane fusion two giant unilamellar (GUVs) composed a mixture dioleoylphosphatidylcholine (DOPC) dipalmitoleoylphosphatidylethanolamine (DPOPE). We succeeded observing process this detail. First, GUVs became strongly associated, with partition between them bilayers, one from each GUV. Then, was suddenly broken at site on its edge. The area breakage gradually spread, until it completely separated GUV complete fusion. Here, propose new model (i.e., model) for mechanism -induced GUVs.
