摘要: We report here the resonance Raman spectra of octopus rhodopsin and its photoproducts, bathorhodopsin acid metarhodopsin. These studies were undertaken in order to make comparisons with well-studied bovine pigments, so as understand similarities differences pigment structure photochemical processes between vertebrates invertebrates. The flow method was used obtain spectrum at 13 degrees C. obtained by computer subtraction containing different photostationary mixtures rhodopsin, isorhodopsin, hypsorhodopsin, bathorhodopsin, 12 K using pump-probe technique from measurements 80 K. Like their counterparts, Schiff base vibrational mode appears approximately 1660 cm-1 metarhodopsin, suggesting a protonated linkage chromophore protein. Differences indicate that formation is associated isomerization. This inference substantiated chemical extraction data which show that, like system, an 11-cis pigment, while photoproducts contain all-trans agreement previous work. marked counterparts other respects, however. are most dramatic structure-sensitive fingerprint HOOP regions. Thus, it although two species differ specific nature chromophore-protein interactions, general process visual transduction same.
