摘要: Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a phenotypic shift wherein epithelial cells lose or loosen attachments to their neighbors and assume mesenchymal-like morphology. EMT drives variety of developmental processes, but may also be adopted by tumor during neoplastic progression. regulated both biochemical physical signals from the microenvironment, including mechanical stress, which increasingly recognized play major role in development disease Biological systems generate, transmit concentrate stress into spatial patterns; these gradients serve spatially pattern pathologic EMTs. Here we review how tissues generate respond gradients, highlight mechanisms regulates patterns EMT.
