摘要: Some Mediterranean wetlands are found between the areas with highest prevalence of lead pellet exposure for waterfowl in world. To assess situation Spain, availability pellets sediments and rates ingestion by were determined four important wetlands: Albufera de Valencia, El Fondo, Tablas Daimiel, Donana (Guadalquivir Marshes). Lead density sediment was maximum Albufera, 2.8 million pellets/ha. In where hunting banned 1965, about 1.0 pellets/ha found. Percentages shot ingested on coast (El Fondo Valencia): 87.5% common pochard (Aythya ferina) approximately 33% mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) shoveler clypeata) contained pellets. It that mallards > 5 μg/g dry weight liver had 8.5% lower body condition 7.7% less than birds concentrations. Moreover, poisoning diagnosed as cause death 16 out 75 birds, mainly greylag geese (Anser anser), dead some these zones.
