摘要: The present study replicates and extends earlier findings by using event-related potentials (ERPs) as a means of providing information about differential hemispheric engagement in cognitive processing. ERPs were recorded from T3, T4, T5 T6 response to task-irrelevant tone pips superimposed on white noise, music verbal passages, which are thought differentially activate the two hemispheres. latencies amplitudes three peaks (N1, P2 N2) obtained 37 women. Task-related ERP asymmetries found only for peak amplitude N2 at posterior-temporal scalp areas, whereas anterior-temporal recording, there no interactional effects. hemisphere assumed be most engaged task processing showed smaller area than hypothesized unengaged hemisphere. A result common was that longer noise condition. Finally, areas produced even more conditions compared conditions. No differences between hemispheres during ongoing tasks.
