Callus Growth and Proline Accumulation in Response to Sorbitol and Sucrose-Induced Osmotic Stress in Rice

摘要: This study investigated the influence of osmotic stress, induced by sorbitol and sucrose combinations, on growth proline accumulation in callus cultures rice (Oryza sativa L.). Dehusked mature seeds, cv. Hassawi, were to MS medium supplemented with 4.52 µM 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) 2.32 6-furfurylaminopurine (kinetin). The also contained 29.2, 58.4, 87.6, 116.8 mM combined 0, 54.9, 109.8, 164.7 sorbitol. Callus formation was observed about 35 % cultured seeds irrespective sugar treatment. An increase mass as concentration increased reaching a maximum at 87.6 mM. enhanced response 54.9 but higher it inhibitory. Best obtained containing sucrose. Increasing consequence increasing concentrations, highest proline, 5.8 µmol g−1(f.m.),
