Experimental production of diffuse colitis in rats.

摘要: Diffuse, topical application of dilute acetic acid to the serosal surface rat colon, or standardized intraluminal (per rectum) instillation induced a reproducible, diffuse colitis in dose-response manner. These lesions were reproduced with 100% reliability and evaluated up 60 days when healing occurred. Histopathological features this chemically ulceration distal occurrence pseudopolyp-like structures, alterations crypt depth mucus secretion, transmural, nonspecific inflammatory response.
