摘要: The incidence of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) has increased worldwide during the last decades, despite development effective drug therapy and improved clinical diagnoses. NIDDM is one major causes disability death due to complications accompanying this disease. For well-being patient, from a public healthcare perspective, intervention strategies essential in order reduce its resulting complications. for society at large, early programmes are beneficial, especially cost-benefit perspective. Physical activity exerts pronounced effects on substrate utilisation insulin sensitivity, which turn potentially lowers blood glucose lipid levels. Exercise training also improves many other physiological metabolic abnormalities that associated with such as lowering body fat, reducing pressure normalising dyslipoproteinaemia. Clearly, regular physical plays an important role prevention treatment NIDDM. Since been shown prospective studies protect against NIDDM, suitable individuals risk should be incorporated into medical care system greater extent. One general determinant strategy develop preventive programme establish testing includes VO2max determinations who developing Before initiating people complete examination aimed identifying any long term recommended. If diabetic present, protocol modified accordingly. consist intensity aerobic Resistance high exercises only performed by without retinopathy or hypertension. Once enrolled programme, patient must educated regard proper footwear daily foot inspections. Fluid intake great importance when exercising prolonged periods warm humid environments. With motivation supervision, can enjoy means enhancing control improving sensitivity.
