摘要: Pathogens belonging to the Oomycota, a group of heterokont, fungal-like organisms, are amongst most notorious pathogens in agriculture. In particular, obligate biotrophic downy mildews and hemibiotrophic members genus Phytophthora responsible for huge variety destructive diseases, including sudden oak death caused by P. ramorum, potato late blight infestans, cucurbit mildew Pseudoperonospora cubensis, grape Plasmopara viticola. About 800 species roughly 100 currently accepted, recent studies have revealed that these groups closely related. However, degree which is paraphyletic where exactly insert into this relation other clades could not be inferred with certainty date. Here we present molecular phylogeny encompassing all as represented multi-locus dataset two representatives monophyletic from divergent genera. Our results demonstrate at least six times respect mildews. The consistently nested within clade 4 (contains palmivora), placed sister 1 infestans). This finding would either necessitate placing Phytopthora single genus, under oldest generic name Peronospora or conservation later Phytophthora, description new genera Phytophthora. complications both options discussed, it concluded latter preferable, warrants fewer changes more practical.
