摘要: Sheep reticulocyte-specific antiserum absorbed with mature sheep red cells has been used to isolate and identify plasma-membrane proteins monitor their loss during incubation in vitro. Specific precipitation of labelled is obtained when detergent-solubilized extracts 125I-labelled reticulocyte plasma membranes are incubated this Staphyloccus aureus, but not mature-cell treated similarly. During maturation reticulocytes vitro (up 4 days at 37 degrees C), there a marked decrease the immunoprecipitable material. The anti-reticulocyte-specific antibodies have identified as anti-(transferrin receptor) antibodies. By using these probe, transferrin receptor shown subunit molecular weight 93 000. data consistent reported weights proposal that may exist dimer, since [125I]iodotyrosyl-peptide maps 000- 186 000-mol.wt. components isolated be identical. Evidence presented for transmembrane nature presence different binding sites on receptor.
