摘要: Theoretical studies of self-induced transparency have used the slowly varying envelope approximation with perturbative corrections. These analyses indicated that for a carrier wave given frequency, there was continuum possible steady-state pulse velocities. We show exact solutions full Maxwell-Bloch equations do not share this property; instead, is nonperturbative selection mechanism: frequency gives rise to pulses discrete values velocity only. present analytical and numerical calculations, suggest some experiments semiconductor CdS.
