摘要: Abstract Aim of the work To evaluate frequency anti-mutated citrullinated vimentin antibodies (MCV) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and to correlate it with disease activity various manifestations. Patients methods Fifty RA were recruited from rheumatology rehabilitation outpatient clinic, Kasr Al-Aini. Thirty healthy subjects served as controls. All subjected full history taking clinical examination including general joint assessment. Disease was assessed by score (DAS-28) functional ability evaluated Modified Health Assessment Questionnaire (MHAQ). Anti-MCV anti-cyclic peptide (anti-CCP) assayed ELISA Plain X-ray performed on hands wrists Sharp used assess erosions space narrowing. Results A highly significant elevation serum anti-MCV (135.82 ± 126.81 U/ml) compared controls (13.63 ± 8.48 U/ml) ( p = 0.005) erosion (12.93 ± 23.55 vs. 4 ± 2.2, = 0.02). Anti-CCP showed a sensitivity 70% specificity 100%. There difference between specificities both markers = 0.03). no correlation manifestations, MHAQ, DAS28 or score. significantly correlated anti-CCP Conclusion test has association disability radiologic progression could be considered promising biomarker.
