摘要: Abstract Aim of the work The study was performed to assess diagnostic potential anti-carbamylated proteins (anti-CarP) antibodies in Egyptian patients with RA and their relation clinical manifestations, laboratory findings radiological damage. Patients methods involved 90 matched healthy controls. Disease activity score (DAS28) health assessment questionnaire (HAQ) were assessed. Plain x-ray hands feet assessed by modified Larsen’s score. Laboratory investigations including acute phase reactants, rheumatoid factor (RF), anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) anti-CarP estimated. Results mean age 42.6 ± 10.4 years (20–60 years), disease duration 4.3 ± 3.3 years 82 females (91.1%) 8 males (8.9%). DAS28 4.9 ± 1.2, HAQ 1.6 ± 0.7 Larsen 33.8 ± 12.2. 29/90 (32.2%) positive for significantly associated extra-articular manifestations deformity (p Conclusion sensitivity low comparison both RF anti-CCP; however, they showed high specificity detected anti-CCP negative patients, so could be useful test beside RF.
