摘要: Ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) is a powerful experimental model for isolated research. EVLP allows the lungs to be manipulated and characterized in an external environment so that effect of specific ven tilation/perfusion variables can studied independent other confounding physiologic contributions. At same time, normal organ level function real-time monitoring pulmonary physiology mechanics. As result, this technique provides unique advantages over vitro models. Small large animal models have been developed each these has their strengths weaknesses. In manuscript, we provide insight into relative describe how development advanced protocols leading novel platform used answer critical questions transplant medicine.
