摘要: Pneumonia is one of the leading causes death worldwide. We present a magnetic bead fluorescent sandwich immunoassay that allows rapid serum measurement novel inflammation marker YKL40 (CHI3L1) at point care (POC) could aid pneumonia diagnosis. The beads serve as solid phase for separation from serum. readout performed using small and robust fluorescence reader, which detects turnover substrate. assay procedure, sample addition to data retrieval, consists three steps in less than 20 min. presented has linear range 3 111 ng/mL, with limit detection 2.9 ng/mL. average recoveries were found between 101 111%. developed method was applied sera healthy subjects (n= 14; c(YKL40)= 50 ± 49 ng/mL) patients (n = c(YKL40) 333.6 225 ng/mL). elevated concentrations pneumonia-diseased are good agreement previously published data. POC-ready device provides simple help optimize diagnostics low-resource settings.
