摘要: Intraoperative perforation of the femur, a serious complication hip arthroplasty, encompasses broad spectrum - from simple hole in bone to displaced fracture with an unstable prosthesis. Although some intraoperative perforations are managed routinely, others disastrous and often associated greater morbidity, mortality, increased blood loss, poor clinical outcome. Appropriate recognition, including awareness preoperative risk factors, is paramount successful management these complications. We have found S-ROM (DePuy Orthopaedics Inc., Warsaw, Ind) prosthesis safe prevention cortical high-risk patients effective managing when it occurs.
