摘要: An example of large sub-auroral poleward electric fields, similar to those observed on OGO-6, S3-2 and AE-C (recently referred as SAID) has been found in the magnetosphere near L = 4 2300 MLT using ISEE-1 field data. The event is located adjacent outside plasmapause occurs 1½ hours into a substorm. accompanied by significant penetration convection inside plasmasphere. Data from regions next orbit occurring beginning substorm did not exhibit these effects. Recent theoretical models predict SAID occur trough regions, where dynamics force currents flow low conductivity. These provide first-order interpretation this phenomena; however, overall picture more complex.
