摘要: Eco-design is used as a tool in the manufacturing and services sectors for improving sustainability of products by integrating environmental aspects into design stage, where most product impacts are determined. Laws (e.g., EU eco-design directive) international schemes ISO 14006) have encouraged use companies; addition, literature has reported advances methodology widespread case studies different economic sectors. This chapter aims to show combined environment (DfE) life cycle assessment (LCA) implementation companies. The steps tools methodology, well common strategies, described. Product carbon footprint (PCF) plays an important role two main ways. First, PCF one indicators that can be calculated with LCA, which become indicator companies, not only quantitative data current performance but also benchmark further improvements. Second, strategy communication consumers through eco-labeling. strength stakeholders (business consumers) aware understand its meaning due presence emissions global warming mass media public science studies.
