China’s Economic Relations with Indonesia: Threats and Opportunities

摘要: The paper examines the development of China’s economic ties with Southeast Asia over last two decades, culminating in inauguration ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) 2010. Particular reference is made to trade Indonesia. Although two-way between China and Indonesia has grown rapidly since 2000, Indonesian exports are dominated by primary products, while imports from manufactures. While this pattern might reflect short-term comparative advantage both economies, it causing some concern assesses these concerns, possible political reactions.
