摘要: Whereas those who live in the native ranges of large feline carnivores are well aware risks cat and human encounters, North Americans Europeans increasingly exposed to exotic animals through travel, ecotourism, leisure pursuits rural areas, occupational exposure, zoo animal park visits, wild habitat encroachment at urban-wildlands interface, contact with pets. In encounters during which persons have been severely injured, lapses management protocols, lack appropriate adult supervision, intoxication reported. Unlike common domestic pets that lived close association humans for thousands years, no matter where individual felines may raised, they remain strong prey-drive territorial instincts. The emergency felid attacks is similar other major trauma: stabilization; significant orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, soft tissue injuries; antibiotic coverage provided number organisms inhabit their mouths potential tetanus rabies; early survivors likely posttraumatic stress disorder. We must actively explore responsible measures globally can be taken ensure biologically appropriate, ethical, safe, sustainable conservation these both natural habitats captivity.
