摘要: Trichosanthin (TCS) is a type I ribosome-inactivating protein that isolated from the root tubers of Chinese medicinal herb Trichosanthes kirilowii Maximowicz. TCS has been used as an abortifacient for 1,500 years in China because its high toxicity on trophoblasts. Over past 20 years, subject much research potential antitumor activities. Many reports have revealed cytotoxic variety tumor cell lines vitro and vivo. Monoclonal antibody-conjugated could enhance efficacy; thus, considered to be biological agent cancer treatment. able inhibit synthesis consequently induce necrosis.
