摘要: Trichosanthin (TCS), or Tin Hua Fen, is a renowned traditional Chinese medicine and still used in clinics for midterm abortion the treatment of choriocarcinoma. Many studies have demonstrated that TCS has anti-tumour action as type I ribosome-inactivating protein. We hypothesized there another pathway activity TCS. cDNA array analysis was applied to profile changes gene expression human CaSki response stimulation. Smac, mitochondrial protein, identified highly upregulated protein treatment. The mRNA levels Smac were determined by real-time RT-PCR Western blotting respectively. analysed methylation status using methylation-specific PCR (MSP) indicates promotes demethylation increases its cervical cells. Tumour cells develop resistance during prolonged treatment, with other classic chemotherapeutic agents. downregulated Twist TCS-resistant These results indicate demethylating involved both resistance.
