摘要: Trichosanthin (TCS) is a type I ribosome-inactivating protein that inhibits the replication of both human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) and herpes simplex (HSV-1). The mechanism inhibition not clear. This investigation explored effects TCS on stages HSV-1 infection in Hep-2 cells, from attachment to release. We demonstrated reduced antigen DNA content interfered with viral as early 3-15 h after infection. had no effect attachment, penetration or immediate-early gene expression. However, expression late genes virion release were diminished. In summary, this study demonstrates primarily affects cells during period.
