摘要: Summary The lower rhombic lip (LRL) is a germinal zone in the dorsal hindbrain productive of tangentially migrating neurons, streaming extramurally (mossy fiber neurons) or intramurally (climbing neurons). Here we show that LRL territory, operationally defined by Wnt1 expression, parceled into molecular subdomains predictive cell fate. Progressing dorsoventrally, Lmx1a and Gdf7 expression identifies primordium for choroid plexus epithelial cells; Math1 , mossy neurons; immediately ventral to yet within + climbing dominated Ngn1 -expressing cells. Elimination Pax6 results expansion this progenitor pool reduction pool, with accompanying later enlargement nucleus reductions nuclei. loss also disrupts Msx cell-nonautonomously, suggesting may influence identity indirectly through potentiating BMP signaling.
