摘要: DNA methyl transferase-1 or DNMT1 maintains methylation in the genome and is important for regulating gene expression cells. Aberrant changes activity are commonly observed cancers many other diseases. Recently, a number of long intergenic non-protein-coding RNAs lincRNAs have been shown to play role activity. CCDC26 nuclear lincRNA that frequently mutated hotbed disease-associated single nucleotide changes. However, functional mechanism not understood. Here, we show this concentrated on periphery. Strikingly, absence lincRNA, mis-located cytoplasm, genomic significantly hypomethylated. This accompanied by double-stranded breaks increased cell death. These results point previously unrecognized lincRNA-mediated subcellular localization regulation methylation.
