摘要: Community-based surveys were performed in seven rural areas Japan to investigate the prevalence of dementia and illnesses causing dementia. A total 5431 elderly subjects selected based on census data from 1 October 2009. In total, 3394 participants examined (participation rate: 62.5%), 768 cases 529 mild cognitive impairment identified. Of dementia, Alzheimer's disease was most frequent (67.4%), followed by vascular (18.9%), with Lewy body (4.6%), mixed (4.2%) other illnesses. The according 5-year age strata between 65 99 years 5.8-77.7% among participants. this study higher than previous reports countries. To verify upward trend its background factors, we have scheduled for three urban 2011-2012.
