摘要: Abstract This paper explores some of the durability properties a sustainable concrete utilizing oil palm shell (OPS), which is waste material from industry, as lightweight coarse aggregate and manufactured sand to replace conventional natural mining fine aggregate. Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) was used at 20%, 40% 60% cement replacement levels with aim reducing consumption in OPS (OPSC) effect GGBS on water absorption, sorptivity long-term free shrinkage OPSC investigated. The use found reduce sorption 90-d values fell range 0.047–0.065 mm/min 0.5 , compared 0.091 mm/min for mixes without GGBS. containing also have initial absorption below 3%, indicated good quality concrete. In long term study, over period 365 d, up level comparable corresponding be beneficial enhancing compressive strength gain well lowering decrease upon heat exposure.
