摘要: Abstract This paper presents the fresh, mechanical and transport properties of expanded shale aggregate self-consolidating lightweight concrete (SCLC) containing metakaolin assessed by means slump flow, flow time, V-funnel, L-box, compressive, flexural/splitting/bond strength, water absorption, porosity, sorptivity rapid chloride permeability tests. Metakaolin content based SCLC mixtures were developed incorporating 0%, 20%, 40% 60% as a replacement weight fly ash while keeping constant cement mineral admixture 450 kg/m 3 150 kg/m , respectively. These included four 5%, 10% 15% partial binder replacement. It was observed that aggregates can be produced with density lower than 2000 kg/m which increased addition metakaolin. Increases in worsened filling passing ability no positive effect on strength monitored. Replacement resulted 3%, 8% decrease porosity absorption respect to control mixture, The initial secondary values equal or mixture without Moreover, increases showed significant improvement ion penetration resistance SCLC.
