摘要: Abstract HyperIgEemia and atopy have recently been reported to be related various neurological diseases such as Hirayama disease idiopathic myelitis. The aims of this study are determine frequency or hyperIgEemia in myelitis characterize the clinical laboratory profiles atopic (AM). From January 2006 August 2008, 29 consecutive patients with were recruited. We compared demographic data, results radiologic findings between diathesis those without. Allergic history was found only 4 (13%), but mite antigen-specific IgE observed 17 (58%) 19 (65%) patients, respectively. Patients AM ( n =14, 48%) showed following distinctive features: (1) younger age at onset, (2) non-acute onset long duration symptoms admission, (3) predominant sensory mild weakness, (4) low EDSS score, (5) abnormal SEP findings, (6) increased eosinophils peripheral blood. Common MR included eccentric lesions occupying more than two-thirds spinal cord focal enhancement on axial image. These usually extended over 3 5 vertebral segments swelling. fairly common patients. show relatively homogenous clinicolaboratory radiological features. It is noteworthy that none these brain abnormalities suggestive multiple sclerosis neuromyelitis optica (NMO).
