摘要: Abstract A simple experimental set-up has been proposed to study the influence of Cu(II) and Zn(II) on activated sludge growth kinetics by following rate change biomass concentration during batch experiments. Data were fitted a sigmoidal equation providing us main biokinetics parameters ( Y x s , μ m ). Inocula seeded system was obtained from wastewater treatment plant operating at 14 days cell residence time. synthetic feed solution containing 2000 mg/l gelatin (corresponding 1630 mg/l COD) served as source carbon. Different concentrations (1, 5, 10 20 mg/l) introduced singly in reactors keeping all environmental constant (pH, T basic nutrients). The combined effects determined mixing these metallic ions (5/5, 5/10, 10/5 mg/l Cu(II)/Zn(II) respectively). Experimental data showed that less toxic than Cu(II), expressed slight stimulating effect for 1 mg/l Zn(II). Moreover, biokinetic not adversely affected presence up 5 mg/l. However, 10 mg/l higher, caused serious upsets system. Combined copper zinc kinetics, indicated two heavy metals acted neither synergistically nor antagonistically. model very well fits could be used simulation study.
