摘要: The introduction of immunohistochemicar methods has had a profound impact both on the science and practice neuropathology. In many ways it changed our way thinking about neuro-oncogenesis (Rubinstein 1987a), in surgical pathology, led to significantly higher level diagnostic accuracy (Bonnin Rubinstein 1984; Kleihues et al. 1987). However, application immunocytochemical markers not profoundly affected view current classification brain tumors (Zulch 1979) although few cases abolishment established entities (e.g., monstrocellular sarcoma) new terms polymorphic xanthoastrocytoma). It should, however, be kept mind that with respect histogenesis neoplasms, use lineage-specific marker antigens may lead erroneous interpretations. contrast their normal counterparts, neoplastic cells undergo unpredictable changes gene expression. This result lack product typically present, or synthesis protein usually expressed, cell origin. Also, panel antibodies currently available offers no help distinguishing from highly differentiated cells. this contribution we wish expand two problems which immunohistochemical have become increasingly useful, i.e. assessment kinetic parameters analysis extent direction differentiation embryonal CNS tumors.
