摘要: Hexavalent chromium (Cr (VI)) compounds are established human lung carcinogens. Solubility plays a key role in Cr (VI) carcinogenicity, with the most potent carcinogens being water-insoluble or 'particulate'. Lead chromate is used as prototypical particulate compound since it insoluble of these compounds. Previous work our laboratory showed that lead particles dissolve outside cells to produce (Cr) and (Pb) ions were genotoxic. Pb has been hypothesized play an epigenetic carcinogenic activity chromate, perhaps by allowing Cr-damaged survive, however, this possibility not investigated. Accordingly, we determined functional chromate-induced clonogenic survival. We found vitamin C co-treatment eliminated ion uptake, had only slight effect on levels, cytotoxicity. These data indicate caused soluble induced similar amounts cytotoxicity indicating does cause survive.
