摘要: The feasibility of using Coherent Gradient Sensing (CGS) interferometry for studying the fracture behavior unidirectional fiber-reinforced composites is investigated in this paper. First, solution deformation field surrounding tip a crack an orthotropic material summarized. Specifically, most singular term asymptotic expansion explicitly presented. Then, quantities that relate to CGS measurements are derived terms spatial position, stress intensity factors, and constants. Based on these results, synthetic fringe patterns plotted numerically, effects anisotropy crack-tip mixity shape pattern investigated. In addition, finite difference interpretation fringes caused by spacing diffraction gratings taken into account simulation. Finally, initiation toughness subsequent resistance curve particular graphite/epoxy composite measured method. optically factors compare successfully values obtained from load available analytical solutions.
