摘要: Despite the detrimental effects of obesity on coronary heart disease (CHD) and failure, is found to be paradoxically associated with improved survival in secondary care CHD failure. This 'obesity paradox' an area active research, it might result inaccurate working definition obesity, which traditionally defined terms BMI. We reviewed recent literature paradox examined different anthropomorphic measurements their association prognosis cardiovascular diseases. In CHD, when by high BMI body fat, independent fat-free mass (FFM). High waist circumference seems worse some studies, but protection those poor cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF). patients BMI, fat circumference, possibly FFM, have been survival. these findings, intentional weight loss remains protective. both CRF significantly impact relationship between adiposity subsequent prognosis, only present low CRF. Body composition, including FFM a role clinical practice. Emphasis should placed improving CRF, regardless status. Intentional loss, particularly while maintaining encouraged obese individuals.
