摘要: 1,25(OH)2D3 is an antiproliferative agent that may inhibit proliferation of breast cancer (BC) cells in vitro and BC development animals. Epidemiological studies have shown a high incidence people less exposed to solar rays. To unravel the role Vitamin D3 patients, we investigated serum levels 25(OH)D3 its active form as well tissue expression 1alpha-hydroxylase, 24-hydroxylase, D-receptor (VDR), determined by semiquantitative RT-PCR, 88 Brazilian patients 35 women without (submitted mammoplasties or resection benign lesions). Median age with was 51 46 years, respectively, majority were classified clinical stage II (67%). Although no differences concentration found, (40+/-21 pg/ml) lower than (53+/-23). Our results indicate VDR 1alpha-hydroxylase mRNA similar both groups correlation between tumors found. A low seems be associated cancer, however, mechanism involved this regulation still unclear.
