Quantification of phase synchronization phenomena and their importance for verbal memory processes

摘要: In the past years, interest in brain oscillations and their possible role perceptual cognitive processes has greatly increased. The two that have received most attention are theta gamma rhythm. this study, functioning properties of phase synchronization parameters for these frequency bands estimated by means Gabor expansion were demonstrated with simulations phase-locking index (PLI) 1:1 as well n:m indices. order to demonstrate importance phenomena memory performance, power, PLI indices calculated EEG data on verbal encoding. These showed various dissociations recalled versus not-recalled nouns. particular, calculation among different frequencies either at same electrode or electrodes provided a completely new picture dynamic neuronal interaction accompanying processing.
