Specific and Innervation-Regulated Expression of the Intermediate Filament Protein Nestin at Neuromuscular and Myotendinous Junctions in Skeletal Muscle

摘要: The intermediate filament proteins nestin, vimentin, and desmin show a specific temporal expression pattern during the development of myofibers from myogenic precursor cells. Nestin vimentin are actively expressed early developmental stages to be later down-regulated, completely nestin minimal levels, whereas begins is maintained in mature myofibers, which participates maintaining structural integrity. In this study we have analyzed levels distribution intact denervated muscle rat human. immunoreactivity was specifically focally localized sarcoplasm underneath neuromuscular junctions (NMJs) vicinity myotendinous (MTJs), ie, regions associated with acetylcholine receptors (AChRs). This association prompted us analyze neurogenically myogenically muscle. Immunoblot analysis disclosed marked overall increase accumulated protein. Similar extrajunctional redistribution AChRs extended widely beyond NMJ region. Re-innervation caused complete reversion these changes. Our demonstrates that regulated by innervation, signal transduction into myofibers.
