摘要: In aircraft structures, titanium parts and engine members are critical structural components, their inspection crucial. However, these structures very difficult to inspect ultrasonically because of large grain structure that increases noise drastically. this work, phased array setups were developed detected small defects such as simulated inclusions porosity contained in thick casting blocks, which frequently used the aerospace industry. A Cut Spectrum Processing (CSP)‐based algorithm was then implemented on acquired data by employing a set parallel bandpass filters with different center frequencies. This process led substantial improvement signal ratio thus, detectability.
