摘要: BACKGROUND: The use of nonabusive physical punishment as a form discipline has been greatly debated in the scientific and popular literature. Impact on child behavioral outcomes frequently found; however, effects its are not clear, particularly for African-American children. This systematic review literature examined impact exposure to behavior METHODS: A search was conducted PubMed Psyclnfo from 1970 2000 using key terms: corporal punishment, disciplinary practices, parenting. Studies that described ethnicity population included majority well-described were included. Each study required include measurable data at least one measure assessed children 0-14 years age. RESULTS: All seven studies used lower socioeconomic status (SES) and/or urban populations. Study design rural versus populations differentiated beneficial detrimental outcomes.
