摘要: Abstract The emission yields of SO 2 at 2.0 Torr pressure were measured in the presence foreign gases 25° C with incident radiation 3130 A. Experiments performed without and 0.33 NO present order to measure total singlet relative efficiencies. studied NO, CO , CO, N O O, H OCS, thiophene. main purpose study was extend quenching gas range beyond that used previously, see if deviations occurred from Stern-Volmer plots. Such did occur for emitting state, 1 but not triplet 3 . It is concluded neither state initially produced when absorbed, nor exclusive precursor formation. Relative constants obtained states agree well previous work. There no excess over predicted quenching.
