摘要: Recent studies focusing on greenhouse gas emission reduction strategies indicate that material recycling has a significant impact energy consumption and emissions. The question arises how these effects can be quantified. Material is not at all or insufficiently considered in system models, which are used today to derive climate mitigation strategies. To better assess quantify the one option would couple models flow models. barriers challenges of successful coupling addressed this article. greatest obstacles diverging temporal horizons, mismatching boundaries, data quality availability, underrepresentation industrial processes. A coupled model enable access more robust results, response greater variety research questions useful analyses. Further this, collaborative developed jointly by analysis communities required for cohesive interdisciplinary assessments.
